Almost Home

There was an email- begging for someone to help. It said you were a senior terrier mix who had eplipsy. The pound said they were going to put you down. No one would want you.

I did.

I emailed right away to try to save you but I was too late. They had gassed you in a propane tank the night before. You lived a horrible life- you died a horrible death.

I cried.

Now you are free at last in God's hands. No one can hurt you again. You will be healthy and happy at the Bridge. One day I will get to see you and I pray you know I was one who wanted to save you.

May the Angels watch over you

Her Journey Has Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away,
her journey has just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
this earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting,
from the sorrows and the tears.
In a place of warmth and comfort,
where there is no pain and fear.

Think how she must be wishing,
that we could know today.
How nothing but our sadness,
can really pass away.

And think of her as living,
in the hearts of those she touched.
For nothing loved is ever lost,
and she was loved so very much.
